Who We Are
Rural Roots Sawmill is a portable sawmill business based in Pella, Iowa. Inspired by my rural upbringing, I help customers throughout a large portion of Central Iowa turn logs into custom lumber.
I specialize in small to medium jobs — I’ll come to you with the sawmill, or I can pick up your logs and get them milled. Whatever works best for your situation.
Our Equipment
- Portable band sawmill — capable of milling logs up to 34” in diameter
- Handles hardwoods and softwoods: oak, walnut, cedar, pine, ash, and more
- Fully mobile setup — can reach most farm and acreage locations
